Yes. MAD charges by the hour or by the project, depending on the circumstances. Our rate is $ 125 an hour, approved by Minnesota Management & Budget. Each contract includes a negotiated work plan with a total maximum cost.
No. If costs exceed the total of the contract amount, you will not be billed for excess hours unless a contract amendment is negotiated and signed. If the scope of the project expands after the work is begun, we would negotiate an amendment to cover the anticipated additional hours and/or to extend the end date of the contract.
If your organization is part of the state government system, the contract will be an interagency agreement - no RFP, no competitive bidding. Outside the state system, we've worked with many agencies to simplify contract issues. We will meet with you and discuss your needs in full before writing a proposal. There is no charge for this precontract consultation.
Yes. Recent projects include work with the cities of St. Louis Park, Red Wing, and St. Paul, and with Crow Wing, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey and Scott counties.
Yes. MAD has contracted for services to many educational institutions, including the University of Minnesota, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU), and the Perpich Center for Arts Education.
Yes, we have conducted legislative studies for other state agencies, including the departments of Human Services and Public Safety and the Veterans Homes Board. In addition, the legislature regularly directs MAD to conduct studies.
