Who We Are

Management Analysis & Development (MAD) is a nationally recognized fee-for-service management consulting group providing custom-designed services and training to public service clients.

MAD has been helping state government work more effectively since 1985. We’ve done this by working side-by-side with our clients, understanding their specific problems and developing practical solutions with them. We’ve guided diverse stakeholders to agreement, streamlined complicated processes, and coached managers through challenging strategic and operational decisions. We’ve done research, analysis, and technical writing when client organizations are stretched thin. We live in state government and know the challenges. We listen to you, your staff, your stakeholders – to understand the problems and develop solutions you can embrace.

Our Services

MAD offers organizational planning and problem-solving, analysis, and meeting design and facilitation tailored to meet your needs.

Consulting Services
MAD’s services are custom-designed to fit clients’ needs. MAD conducts free pre-contract consultations with prospective clients to determine the best approach. The consultation results in a proposal defining scope, methodology, and price. Once a client agrees to proceed with the proposal, a simple interagency agreement is executed.

Our project teams work with you and your employees to produce outcomes that meet your organization’s needs. We focus on good communications with and respect for employees and stakeholders.

Our offerings include:
  • Business Process Redesign and Reengineering
  • Organization and Program Evaluation, Best Practices Identification, Analytical Studies, Grantwriting, and Survey Research
  • Organization Development, Change Management, Management Coaching, Staff Development, and Team Effectiveness
  • Organization Structure and Staffing Redesign, Roles and Responsibilities Clarification, Position Descriptions, and Communication Plans
  • Meeting Design and Facilitation, Strategic and Operational Planning Processes, and Stakeholder Feedback
